Casa Tortuga is a brand new luxurious beachfront home on the shore of Playa la Saladita, steps away from world-class surfing. The house was designed so that every room has a view of the ocean and local surf break. Luxury linens, comfortable king-size beds, fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, and hot water make this home unique to the area. This 3 bedroom, 4 bath home sleeps 8 and can be rented separately, or booked with the Casita for larger groups.

Main House - The main house has 3 bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs, with king size beds, private baths, air conditioning and ceiling fans, a living room with wetbar and private bath, 

spacious outdoor living and dining areas fully equipped kitchen, and infinity pool with outdoor shower. All rooms have a view of the ocean and surf break.  Upstairs bedrooms have private wrap around terraces with seating.  Sleeps 8. Minimum 3 night stay.

Casita - 1 bedroom studio with king bed, air conditioning and ceiling fan, full bath, fully equipped kitchen, living area, private outdoor patio with dining table and sofa.  Sleeps 2+ (sofas in living area can accommodate 2 children).

Airport- The closest airport to Playa la Saladita is Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo International Airport.  It is located 50 minutes south of Casa Tortuga.  You can find detailed directions from the airport to Casa Tortuga Saladita on Google Maps. We recommend you print out the directions before your flight as cell phone service is not always reliable on route to the house.  

FROM AIRPORT  TO CASA TORTUGA

Private driver - We can arrange a private driver to/from the airport with a stop at Mega Soriana for groceries and supplies on your way to the house.

Renting a car - If you are planning on renting a car, there are a few rental car options at the airport.  We recommend that you book ahead of time as availability can fluctuate with seasons and holidays.  

Taxi Service - The ground       transportation services known as Transporte Terrestre are the only taxis allowed to pick up passengers on airport property. ETASA is one of the services authorized to operate at the airport to take you to your final destination. You'll find their customer service booth just a few steps from the national and international Arrivals area.

They provide three types of transportation: Shuttle Service (in a Chevy Suburban or van) for up to 8 persons, Private Suburban for up to 8 persons, and Taxi Service (in a 4-door sedan) for up to 4 persons.

Surf

A  surfer's paradise.  Located 200 meters north of what some call the  longest left in Mexico. The wave offers something for surfers of all  levels, from world class surfing at the point to an inside beginner's  break.   Lessons and surf board rentals available on the beach.  This  wave works well year round. There are also dozens of surf breaks nearby  for those who care to explore beyond La Saladita. Other Activities

Playa  la Saladita offers something for everyone.  Visitors enjoy warm water  swimming, fishing, dining on local cuisine, walking on the beach,  horeseback riding, bird watching, visiting nearby tourist towns of  Ixtapa/Zihautanejo, enjoying a massage on your private terrace or simply  relaxing while watching the surfers from one of the many comfortable  seating areas throughout the house.  To maximize your experience and we  offer a concierge service for an additional charge. 

CASA TORTUGA sits on the beautiful shore of Playa La Saladita. 

Although known as a surf destination, non surfers will delight in Playa La Salidita. The long stretch of beach is perfect for leisurely strolls or jogs and you may often find yourself one of just a few on the beach. Observe the pelicans whose look harkens back to a prehistoric era, delight in the clusters of skittering sandpipers and catch glimpses of the clandestine hermit crabs. 

While remote, the beach is dotted with several good restaurant serving up local fare, ocean front, under the stars, where you’ll feel equally comfortable in shorts and bare feet as you will in a jaunty sun dress and strappy sandals. 

And if you want to eat at home, go into the village of Los Llanos and purchase a fresh grilled chicken from the famous "chicken shack lady". A side of her pinto beans, house made salsa and hand made tortillas and your all set. 

Want dinner to come to you? There are at least a couple local women who will prepare an amazing meal, for you. Whether it is the catch of the day or other authentic Mexican cuisine, it rivals the food in any fine dining restaurant. 

Food is not the only thing that comes to you. How about a massage on your balcony? Enjoy the warm breeze and sound of the ocean as one of the local massage therapists works wonders on your sore muscles after a long day of surfing.

For those who might welcome a break from the peace and quiet, you’re only a 40 minute taxi ride from Ixtapa where you can golf, shop or take a water taxi to Ixtapa Isle to snorkel. You can also head into neighboring Zihuatanejo.  This authentic city, boasting the cove beach of Playa La Ropa, offers the colorful beauty of pastel painted homes dotting  the surrounding hills. Move up from the beach and walk block upon block of food establishments and shops. This is a working Mexican city so be sure to have your google translate with you.
